Susan Herbst and Douglas Hughes Family Scholarship in the Humanities

The Susan Herbst and Douglas Hughes Family Scholarship in the Humanities is awarded to incoming CLAS undergraduates who intend to or are majoring in Africana studies, American studies, classics & ancient Mediterranean studies, English, French, German, history, human rights, Italian literary and cultural studies, journalism, Latin American studies, maritime studies, philosophy, Spanish, or women’s, gender, and sexuality studies; or have an individualized major where the majority of courses are in the Humanities. Candidates must demonstrate academic achievement and financial need. This award may be renewable.
